Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Senior Refrigeration Systems Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain complex refrigeration and facility systems across multiple sites. The role focuses on reliability, efficiency, and lifecycle management while collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, EHS, and external vendors.

The position is remote within the United States (excluding Hawaii and territories) with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with multi-site operations and capital projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, IIAR, energy efficiency and automation.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot complex refrigeration and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of facility/operational systems for reliability and efficiency.
• Provide advanced technical support for infrastructure, automation, controls, mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, EHS, and vendors to drive system improvements and initiatives.
• Monitor performance, analyze trends, and develop solutions to improve uptime and capacity.
• Lead root cause analyses for failures and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain standards, documentation, and procedures for consistency and compliance.
• Support capital projects, installations, upgrades, and startups from concept to startup.
• Evaluate existing systems and propose modernization and energy efficiency strategies.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and environmental compliance across facilities.
