Job summary

Silver Bay Seafoods LLC in Kodiak, AK seeks a Refrigeration Operator II to oversee large-scale ammonia and other refrigerants, monitor systems, and support engineering leadership. Responsibilities include PM scheduling, leak detection, and maintaining product integrity through precise temperature control.

The role requires hands-on maintenance with FRICK platforms, CMMS logging, and on-site collaboration with in-house teams. OSHA Hazmat training within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of IIAR, ASHRE, ASME, EPA and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and maintenance docs.
• Willing to obtain OSHA HAZMAT 24-hour training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee refrigeration, electrical and HVAC systems, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Conduct preventive maintenance within established timelines.
• Perform leak detection inspections and energy management tasks.
• Maintain product integrity via temperature control and monitoring.
• Document work orders and PMs in the CMMS.
• Communicate system status clearly to management and teams.
• Assist in building maintenance and equipment work as needed.
