Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Refrigeration Operator II in Alaska to maintain industrial refrigeration systems and related equipment. You will follow procedures, document inspections, and coordinate with QA/QC to ensure product safety and temperature control.

The role requires 3–6+ years of experience, HS diploma or refrigeration training, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, 24-hour operation. Strong maintenance planning and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6+ years of Industrial or Commercial Refrigeration Experience (Freon or Ammonia).
• HS Diploma or equivalent, or training in a Refrigeration Technical Program.
• Preferred: RETA CARO certification or equivalent; EPA Section 608 Universal is optional; 24‑Hour HAZWOPER certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate the refrigeration system following plant procedures and maintain logs.
• Perform scheduled mechanical integrity inspections and routine maintenance.
• Plan/perform pre/post season maintenance and repairs with contractors or Refrigeration Technicians.
• Gather parts and supply inventories for pre/post season work.
• Train junior operators and assistants in day-to-day activities.
• Read and interpret technical bulletins, service documents, and system schematics.
