Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Anacortes, WA, seeks a Refrigeration and Facilities Supervisor to oversee the ammonia refrigeration group and related utility systems. Lead technicians, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, compliant operation across equipment including pumps, condensers, and controls.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in industrial ammonia refrigeration, 1+ year of leadership, and experience with PSM/RMP. RETA certification and food-processing exposure are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five years' experience maintaining industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Minimum one year of leadership experience.
• Preferred: associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Refrigeration.
• RETA certification (CARO, CIRO, CRST, or equivalent).
• Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in food processing or regulated manufacturing.
• Familiarity with PSM and RMP compliance.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily refrigeration technicians for safe ammonia system operation.
• Prioritize and monitor preventive maintenance, repairs, and installs.
• Ensure equipment compliance with company standards and regs.
• Promote PSM, RMP, OSHA safety compliance.
• Inspect refrigeration and utility equipment for reliability.
• Provide coaching and training to refrigeration staff.
• Coordinate contractor activities and verify safe work.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and regulatory docs.
• Assist in incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
