Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 5+ years in industrial ammonia refrigeration maintenance.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems (NH3, R22, R404A) and controls.
• CIRO certification required; CRES preferred.
• Ability to read and follow mechanical/electrical instructions safely.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize refrigerant loads and manage systems for high production.
• Diagnose and repair all refrigeration equipment.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance programs and schedules.
• Maintain maintenance logs and regulatory paperwork (PSM/OSHA/EPA).
• Train and supervise refrigeration staff; coordinate with crew and supervisors.
