Job summary

Trident Seafoods Corporation is seeking a Refrigeration Engineering Manager to supervise and maintain industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia and freon, and to lead the Engine Room team. You will enforce procedures, oversee inspections, and collaborate with QA/QC to ensure optimal temperatures and product flow.

The role requires coordinating preventive maintenance, recording repairs, and guiding operators.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
2 years of industrial or commercial refrigeration experience (Freon or ammonia) or completion of an applicable apprenticeship program.
2 years of experience using general refrigeration competencies, including ammonia and/or Freon systems repair.
EPA 608 Certification required.

Responsibilities

Operate the refrigeration system following operating and maintenance procedures under the PSM program.
Perform annual testing including compressor safeties, EPCS operation, transducer calibrations, RTD calibrations.
Oversee operators to ensure daily system logs and MI inspections for the PSM program.
Keep records of repairs and replacements and initiate purchase orders for parts.
Lead routine service, pre & post season maintenance, and repair of the vessel refrigeration system.
Troubleshoot control systems when upsets occur and test lines, components, and connections for leaks.
