Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration HVAC equipment at a local Walmart store in Taylor, MI. You will use commercial HVAC skills, hand and power tools, and digital tools to diagnose, repair, and document activities.

The role requires EPA Type I/II/Universal certification, 2+ years experience in related area, and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance (or 3 years for Option 1, 6 years with an AAS for Option 2).
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• EPA refrigeration handling certification (Type I/II/Universal).
• Valid state driver's license with clean MVR.
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• 1 year experience in plumbing/electrical/material-handling (or 2 years Walmart store exp).
• HVAC journeyman certification if required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment.
• Use work order system to receive and document repairs.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect/ test facilities/equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety training.
• Comply with OSHA/EPA regulations and Walmart safety policy.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights.
