Job summary

Hancock Whitney Corp. seeks a recruiter to own the full-cycle recruitment process, partner with hiring managers, and actively source diverse talent across lines of business. You will conduct interviews, coordinate schedules, and present opportunities to candidates while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires 3+ years in recruiting or HR, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of banking industry hiring practices. Travel to campuses and events may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent experience; PHR/SPHR certification preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in recruiting or a HR generalist function
• Previous banking industry experience highly preferred
• Working Microsoft Office; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; Workday experience preferred
• Strong oral and writing communication skills

Responsibilities

• Partners with hiring managers to develop creative recruitment strategies for respective line(s) of business
• Proactively identifies passive candidates through networking and sourcing methods
• Conducts thorough job specifications with hiring manager to determine needs of the position
• Effectively presents opportunities to passive candidates with understanding of the line of business
• Drives the recruiting process by engaging candidates through interviews via phone and in person
• Coordinates interview schedules and arranges manager interviews
• Maintains applicant and interview data in the applicant tracking system accurately
• Negotiates and extends employment offers; prepares new hires and managers for start
• Recruits for multiple openings concurrently for respective line(s) of business
• May serve as campus outreach representative; travel during peak recruiting season possible
• Tracks events and uses metrics to evaluate campus activity
• Stays abreast of employment law and regulatory requirements
• Ensures documentation of recruiting/applicant process is compliant with laws and guidelines
