Job summary

American Operator is seeking a Senior Recruiter for a 4-month (16-week) contract in Austin, TX onsite to own full-cycle recruiting for corporate roles.

You will lead recruiting from intake through offer, collaborate with hiring managers on scope and interview plans, proactively source candidates, screen and deliver shortlists, and manage offers through onboarding.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting corporate or G&A roles.
• Experience at small companies, startups, PE-backed firms, or holding companies.
• Strong sourcing skills and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for AI corporate roles from intake through offer.
• Collaborate with hiring managers on role scope, interview plans, and scorecards.
• Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn, referrals, and network.
• Screen candidates and deliver well-reasoned shortlists to stakeholders.
• Coordinate interview scheduling and provide updates to candidates.
• Collect interview feedback to support timely hiring decisions.
• Manage offers, references, and handoff to onboarding.
• Maintain ATS and Ashby, keeping processes current.
• Share weekly pipeline updates based on ATS/Ashby reporting.
• Provide written status for every open search before engagement end.

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for open AO corporate roles, from intake through signed offer
• Collaborate with hiring managers on role scope, interview plans, and scorecards
• Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn, referrals, and your own network
• Screen candidates and deliver well-reasoned shortlists to stakeholders
• Coordinate interview scheduling and provide clear updates to candidates at each stage
• Collect interview feedback quickly to support timely hiring decisions
• Manage offers, references, and handoff to onboarding
• Maintain recruiting systems including ATS and Ashby, and keep processes current
• Share a weekly pipeline update based on ATS/Ashby reporting
• Provide a written status for every open search before the engagement ends

Requirements

• 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
• Preferred experience includes corporate or G&A hiring (examples provided: finance, operations, strategy, people)
• Experience recruiting at a small company, startup, PE-backed firm, or holding company
• Strong sourcing skills, with a proactive approach (not waiting for inbound applicants)
• Ability to ramp quickly and run searches with limited guidance
• Ability to communicate with warmth and clarity with both candidates and hiring managers
• Experience using Ashby and producing simple pipeline reporting
• Availability for the full 16 weeks
