Job summary

Manatee County Parks and Recreation is seeking a Recreation Program Coordinator to oversee athletics, fitness, youth camps and racket center operations at Premier Sports Complex North in Lakewood Ranch. You will coordinate events, manage staff, and ensure facilities are well maintained in a busy recreation setting.

The role requires several years in recreation, strong customer service, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Five (5) or more years of work experience in recreation or a field related to area of assignment, to include customer service experience.
Prior lead capacity experience desired.
Community CPR and First Aid certifications required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
If supervising children, Level 2 background check within 30 days of hire.
Valid Florida driver license within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily operations of recreation program area including Athletics, Fitness, Youth Camps, and Racket Center.
Lead staff and volunteers; assign work and ensure completion.
Assist with budget development and management; monitor inventory and purchasing within budget.
Oversee facility rentals and ensure events are executed with satisfaction.
Maintain safety and compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.
Represent the County at meetings and support community outreach for recreation programs.
