Job summary

Intersect Healthcare of Belding is seeking a Recreation Aide to implement and lead recreation activities for residents under the Recreation Director's supervision. The role involves engaging residents in familiar daily living tasks, providing encouragement, prompts, and hands-on assistance during programs.

Responsibilities include coordinating monthly calendars, supporting newsletters, transporting residents, and maintaining accurate records of participation and changes in resident needs.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and telephone etiquette.
• Ability to relate to older adults and provide supportive assistance.
• Ability to organize and perform assignments with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Implement Recreation Programs per the Monthly Calendar and RD guidance.
• Assist in preparing calendars, newsletters, and program materials.
• Transport residents to programs and coordinate group activities.
• Record participation, changes in resident conditions, and incident notes.
• Promote volunteer involvement and assist in orientation and training.
