Job summary

Intersect Healthcare is seeking a Recreation Aide to implement daily recreation activities for residents under the direction of the Recreation Director. The role emphasizes engaging residents with familiar routines, providing encouragement, prompts, and hands-on assistance to promote meaning and purpose during activities.

The position involves leading group programs, maintaining participation records, coordinating with nursing and other departments, and assisting with staff and volunteer

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent is required.
• Experience with senior groups or leading group activities is preferred.
• Knowledge of arts and crafts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements Recreation Programs in accordance with the Monthly Calendar and as assigned by the Recreation Director.
• Assists in the completion of the Recreation Calendar and Facility newsletter as assigned.
• Maintains records in the electronic chart of resident participation in group and one-on-one programs.
• Promotes the Volunteer Program by assisting in the orientation and training of volunteers and providing continued cooperation and assistance as needed.
• Adheres to HIPAA and safety practices; reports any incidents or changes in resident condition.
