Job summary

The City of Buena Park Community Services Department seeks a friendly, energetic Senior Community Services Leader for the Recreation division. Qualifications

Graduation from high school, with one year of college coursework in Recreation, Human Services, or a related field.
Two years of experience coordinating recreation programs and activities.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; work with staff, volunteers, and the public.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize and conduct recreation programs, including games, sports, crafts, and events.
Train and coordinate part-time and volunteer staff; lead staff meetings.
Assist in facility rentals, program setup, and equipment care and maintenance.
Provide public speaking at programs and events and support registration.
Coordinate with participants, vendors, and contractors; maintain records and reports.
