Job summary

The City of Buena Park's Community Services Department is seeking a Senior Community Services Leader to join the Recreation division. This part-time, non-benefited role offers 10–20 hours weekly and requires flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will plan and conduct diverse programs, supervise part-time and volunteer staff, assist with rentals and events, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of organizing, conducting and supervising recreation programs.
• Familiar with sports rules, crafts and game programming.
• Understanding of working with children and basic first aid.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise recreation activities, games, sports and events.
• Train and coordinate part-time and volunteer staff.
• Coordinate equipment issuance, care and maintenance.
• Assist in facility rentals, special events and registrations.
• Perform light maintenance and custodial tasks as needed.
