Job summary

The City of Allen is seeking a part-time Recreation Attendant for Joe Farmer Recreation Center to deliver friendly customer service, assist seniors with transportation, registrations, and facility operations. This position supports daily activities, checks schedules, and ensures a welcoming facility for residents.

Shifts are evenings and rotating weekends, approximately 20 hours per week. Requirements include a high school diploma, background check, CPR/First Aid, and food handlers

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with no prior relevant work experience.
• Clear criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
• CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of employment
• Food Handlers Certification or ability to obtain within thirty (30) days of employment

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for transporting senior citizens to and from the Senior Center and assisting mobility during field trips.
• Setting up and breaking down activity rooms for weekly events and moving furniture as needed.
• Provides customer service by greeting members, answering calls, giving facility information, and processing registrations and payments.
