Job summary

The City of McKinney seeks a Recreation Aide to support supervision of senior recreation programs, center operations, and facilities. You will greet the public, handle registrations, manage supplies, and assist with events and programming.

Good communication, reliability, and a customer-focused approach are essential. Evening and weekend availability is required; CPR/First Aid with AED is preferred or obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; six months of experience with the public or recreation programs.
• Must have CPR/First Aid and AED certificate or obtain upon employment.
• Knowledge and understanding of computer functions and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all City policies and procedures.
• Adhere to the assigned work schedule as outlines.
• Transport patrons by vehicle to events as needed.
• Meet and greet the public; provide friendly customer service.
• Assist with computerized registration, correspondence, public relations, records and reports.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; set up/break down equipment for events.
• Assist with programming and special events.
