Job summary

La Frontera EMPACT - Suicide Prevention Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Recovery Technician Lead to supervise the Recovery Technician team and support the Clinical Coordinator. The role focuses on facilitating daily operations, residential admissions, and client care in a 24/7 setting.

The schedule is Monday–Friday 3pm–11pm; candidates should have a behavioral health background, strong communication, a valid AZ driver’s license, fingerprint clearance, and be at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, family studies, or related behavioral health field or 4 years of direct behavioral health experience.
Experience with substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid Arizona drivers license with clean driving record.
Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility.
Must be 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

Assist the Clinical Coordinator with administrative and compliance functions; train staff and interns in his/her discipline.
Direct day-to-day operations of the program; schedule meetings and services; provide or arrange coverage.
Facilitate residential admission and discharge processes including referrals, screenings, admissions, assessments, and discharge.
Provide counseling and supervision of clients in individual and group settings as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Direct, participate in, and assist clients in planning and carrying out daily activities and evaluating client progress.
Maintain clinical documentation including progress toward goals, activity records, and shift notes.
Provide orientation to new clients at intake.
Maintain all client records in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
Produce thorough, timely clinical documentation of services rendered (billable and non-billable).
Provide transportation to consumers as appropriate.
Attend weekly supervision meetings and seek additional supervision as needed.
Participate in administrative, in-service, and department staff meetings.
Recommend changes to improve service delivery and implement new programming as directed.
Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify service plans as needed.
Adhere to agency policies and procedures and assist with Quality Management and Utilization Review.
