BELFOR Holdings Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to provide operational support on reconstruction projects in Portland, OR. The role involves supervising unskilled labor, training junior carpenters, and ensuring compliance with BELFOR methods for large-scale commercial projects.

Advanced carpenters may advance toward Estimator or Project Manager tracks. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Supervise unskilled labor and BELFOR employees on site
• Train Carpenter Basic and Carpenter Intermediate team members
• Answer project questions and route complex issues to specialists
• Maintain equipment used in daily tasks
• Demonstrate safe work practices and containment methods

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and request guidance promptly
• Train Carpenter Basic and Intermediate team members in all facets
• Answer questions and direct for complex issues
• Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants
• Install metal framed walls, acoustical ceilings, roofing repairs as needed
• Perform flood cuts, salvage baseboards, cabinets and doors
• Identify insulation types and R-values
• Apply skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation and exteriors
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and keep tools in good condition
• Meet BELFOR safety and property safeguarding standards
• Work under time constraints and be available nights and weekends as required
• Travel periodically as needed
• Report time worked and materials used accurately
• Attend BELFOR safety and operations trainings
