Job summary

BELFOR USA Group, Inc in Portland, OR seeks a Level 4 Carpenter on the Progressive Carpenter track to supervise crews and train Carpenter Basic and Intermediate team members. The role encompasses complex residential, commercial, and industrial settings and requires strong knowledge of BELFOR methods and safety standards.

Advanced carpenters may progress toward Estimator or Project Manager tracks. Travel, nights, and weekends may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Supervision of unskilled labor and BELFOR employees and occasional sub-contractors.
• Answer simple project questions or defer to qualified personnel.
• Maintaining equipment used in daily tasks.
• Perform emergency services (e.g., board ups) as needed.
• Additional duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Train Carpenter Basic and Intermediate team members in all facets.
• Recognize project risks and seek guidance when needed.
• Construct containment for dust, dirt, and contaminants.
• Build metal framed walls, ceilings, roofing repairs as required.
• Use tools per BELFOR methods for flood cutting and salvaging.
• Identify insulation types and R-values relevant to tasks.
• Apply skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, and siding tasks.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and keep equipment clean.
• Meet BELFOR safety standards and safeguard property.
• Work under time constraints and willing to travel nights/weekends.
