Job summary

IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Senior Receiving Inspector to join the Quality team in Bothell, WA.

You will lead inspection of mechanical, electrical, and PCBA components, manage MRB actions, and supervise inspectors while ensuring conformance to GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards. You will coordinate with engineering and manufacturing, apply sampling plans, and maintain NCRs and MRB records to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret complex technical drawings, including ASME Y14.5 datum structures.
• Demonstrated experience with MRB processes for nonconforming material and disposition.
• Proficient in using metrology gauges and programming/operating automated measurement systems.
• Experience with QMS/ERP nonconformance modules and calibration schedules.
• Ability to lead inspection teams and provide training.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection of incoming, in‑process, and finished goods.
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, and PCBA components against specifications and PO requirements.
• Interpret drawings and convert callouts into inspection plans and acceptance criteria.
• Apply sampling plans and adjust sample sizes based on data.
• Program and operate CMM/OMM/vision systems for measurements.
• Support calibration and manage nonconforming material containment.
• Write NCRs for MRB reviews with data, quantities, traces, and photos.
• Lead inspection actions, 100% screening, re‑inspections, and disposal verification.
• Track MRB closure items and maintain logs and aging reports.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and suppliers for problem resolution.
• Support audits and change reviews related to inspection.
