Job summary

Panametrics is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development of embedded systems and real-time firmware for ultrasonic flow sensing products in critical industrial settings. This hands-on role emphasizes architecture, integration with hardware, and cross-functional collaboration across hardware, FPGA, and systems teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Advanced proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Experience with embedded operating systems and RTOS concepts.
• Experience with device drivers, BSPs, HALs, and low-level software.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, GPIO, DMA, ADC, DAC.
• Experience with ARM Cortex architectures and Zynq MPSoC or similar.
• Board bring-up, processor init, and hardware validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain embedded firmware and software.
• Translate requirements into robust software architectures.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, systems, and test teams.
• Drive hardware-software integration and system validation.
• Lead design reviews, unit/integration testing, and CI processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
