Job summary

Detector Electronics seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead firmware design, implementation, and testing across the product lifecycle. You will own the software architecture and drive design execution with cross-functional teams, applying Agile practices to maintain alignment and transparency.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 5+ years in embedded C/C++, 2+ years RTOS experience, and strong debugging skills using JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing embedded software/firmware using C/C++.
• 2+ years of experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Experience with regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead firmware design, implementation and testing across the product lifecycle.
• Own software architecture and design execution, along with processes, tools, and metrics.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate hardware/firmware and diagnostics.
• Work with Product Owners and stakeholders using Agile practices to maintain alignment.
• Ensure code is documented, tested, and version-controlled.
