Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to architect, design, implement and test real-time software for complex missile, launcher and sensor systems. You will work within cross-disciplinary teams to refine concepts, ensure testability and deliver quality software across hardware boundaries.

The role requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, plus an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with embedded C++ software and RTOS is required.
• Ability to integrate hardware, firmware and software in complex systems.
• Active and transferable final Secret U.S. government clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test and debug embedded real-time software.
• Collaborate in cross-discipline teams to define concepts and ensure quality.
• Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to design reviews.
• Contribute to proposals and critical design reviews.
• Ability to obtain program access.
