Oshkosh Corporation, in partnership with Pratt Miller, is seeking a Senior Embedded Software & Controls Tech Specialist to lead design, development and validation of embedded control systems for defense applications. You will work across modeling, algorithm development, hardware integration and vehicle-level deployment.

Ideal candidates have advanced degrees and 8+ years in automotive, mechatronic, or aerospace engineering, with expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, PID and MPC control, and embedded

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, CS, CE, or Mechatronic Systems; 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience in control system modeling and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
• Expertise in PID, lead-lag, MPC, LQR, Kalman filtering, robust and MIMO control.
• Embedded software in C/C++ on microcontrollers, Linux, or RTOS-based platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy control systems for defense applications.
• Develop and validate control strategies through SIL/HIL bench and vehicle tests.
• Tune multi-loop and multi-axis control architectures.
• Integrate electronic components and ensure hardware compatibility.
• Model correlation with test data and system identification.
