Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, in collaboration with Pratt Miller, seeks an Embedded Software & Controls Team Lead to guide a small engineering team in end-to-end control systems for mobility, defense, and robotics platforms.

The role blends technical leadership (≈70%) with people management (≈30%), requiring strong C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and model-based design experience. Travel up to 10–15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow for modeling and algorithm design.
• Strong C/C++ experience for RTOS/bare-metal/embedded Linux.
• Experience with bus protocols and diagnostic tools (CAN, J1939, Ethernet).
• Proven leadership of technical projects and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end embedded software and control system projects.
• Define system-level control architectures and interfaces.
• Develop multi-domain models and tune control algorithms (PID, state-space, MPC).
• Oversee software/hardware integration, MIL/SIL simulations, bench bring-up, and HIL testing.
