Garmin International seeks a Sr C/C++/Python Software Engineer - Audio Processing on the Core Platform Technology team in the Greater Kansas City area or Cary, NC. You will shape how customers hear Garmin devices across products, leading embedded software efforts and mentoring peers.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded C/C++/Python, strong algorithm and audio processing knowledge, and collaboration with product teams for future integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/CE/Software Eng and 5+ years relevant experience.
• Strong academic record (GPA ≥ 3.0).
• Proficient in embedded software in C, C++ and Python; OO design.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development efforts in embedded C/C++ and Python.
• Write audio algorithms for embedded devices (wearables, bike computers, handhelds).
• Architect or review modules and systems for new tech or performance improvements.
• Collaborate with product teams to design future integrations and features.
• Decompose requirements into well-defined tasks and deliverables.
