Job summary

Garmin International in the Greater Kansas City area is seeking a full-time Software Engineering Team Leader for the Sensor Platform Team. You will lead a group of software engineers responsible for evaluating, bringing up, and supporting sensing and audio hardware solutions and infrastructure across Garmin products.

You will collaborate with product teams, coach engineers through design reviews, drive the team roadmap, and recruit and develop talent while aligning with Garmin's software

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of relevant experience or 10+ years experience.
Strong knowledge of C and/or C++ with ability to review code and provide feedback.
Proven experience managing and mentoring software engineers; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of engineers responsible for sensor and audio platforms
Collaborate with product and technology teams to prioritize the roadmap
Coach engineers through technical decisions, design reviews, and mentoring
Coordinate software requirements and designs per Garmin's development methodology
Participate in recruiting, interviewing, training, and performance evaluations
