Job summary

Garmin Ltd. is seeking a Sr C/C++/Python Software Engineer - Audio Processing to join our Core Platform Technology team at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area or at Cary, NC.

You will develop embedded software and audio algorithms for consumer devices across product segments. The role requires deep experience in C/C++, Python, and real-time audio processing, with leadership capabilities and a track record of designing robust software systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination
• Strong embedded software skills in C/C++ and Python
• Demonstrated ability to design well-architected software systems
• Experience leading complex software projects and mentoring engineers
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded software development for audio processing on consumer devices
• Write and optimize C/C++, C++, and Python code for real-time audio applications
• Architect and review software modules and designs for new technologies
• Collaborate with product teams to plan future integrations and features
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning and process improvements
