Job summary
Blue Origin Engines is seeking a Sr Controls Engineer to design, implement, and validate real-time control architectures for test facilities and propulsion hardware. You will develop supervisory software, PLC logic, and embedded control algorithms, working across Siemens and Rockwell platforms to deliver production-ready, safety-critical controls.
The role involves system integration with mechanical and electrical teams, commissioning, diagnostics, and documentation of designs and procedures.
Qualifications
- 10+ years hands-on experience in real-time control systems for complex hardware.
Responsibilities
- Design & Architect Control Systems for test facilities and hardware.
- Test Facility Operations Support during commissioning and ramp-up.
- Real-Time PLC & Automation Programming across Siemens and Rockwell platforms.
- Electrical Architecture & Instrumentation planning and validation.
- Systems Integration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Controls Software Development & Lifecycle management.
- Safety & Standards compliance and documentation.
- Knowledge transfer and mentoring of junior engineers.
