Job summary

WELLTOWER, Inc. in the United States seeks a seasoned Real Estate and M&A Counsel to support U.S. seniors housing transactions. You will advise investment and development teams, negotiate complex agreements, and coordinate with tax, accounting, and external counsel to move deals forward.

You bring a J.D. and Bar admission (NY or TX) with 3+ years in REIT or public-company environments, and you communicate clearly, think strategically, and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with outstanding academic performance.
• Bar admission in good standing with eligibility for NY or TX (depending on location).
• Minimum 3 years of real estate and/or M&A experience, preferably for REITs or public companies.

Responsibilities

• Advise investment and development teams on U.S. seniors housing deals, acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures.
• Negotiate and document complex agreements; provide guidance on tax and accounting considerations.
• Coordinate with internal departments and outside counsel to move transactions to closure.
• Act as quarterback for transactions and manage stakeholder relationships.
