Job summary

Welltower, Inc. seeks a Counsel to provide legal assistance on U.S. Seniors Housing transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and development matters. The role entails coordinating with Investment, Development, Accounting and Tax teams to guide deal structuring and execution.

The successful candidate will have a J.D., admission to the Bar (NY or TX depending on location) and at least 3 years of real estate/M&A experience, ideally within REITs or large firms.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with outstanding academic performance.
• Admission in good standing to the Bar with the ability to become admitted in New York or Texas.
• Minimum of 3 years real estate and/or M&A experience, preferably representing REITs or public companies.

Responsibilities

• Advise investment teams and development teams on U.S. seniors housing development deals, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and operator transitions.
• Provide guidance on documentation and structure of transactions.
• Act as a quarterback for transactions in partnership with the Investment Team and liaise with internal stakeholders.
