Job summary

Welltower is seeking a Counsel to support U.S. seniors housing transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and development matters. The role requires a J.D.

and active bar admission with eligibility for New York or Texas, plus at least three years in real estate and/or M&A in a top firm or in-house setting. The successful candidate will quarterback deals, liaise with Investment, Development, Accounting and Tax teams, and advise on post-closing asset management.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with outstanding academic performance.
• Bar admission in good standing to practice law, with ability to become admitted in New York or Texas.

Responsibilities

• Advise investment and development teams on U.S. seniors housing deals, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and development matters.
• Provide guidance on documentation and negotiate operator transitions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Investment, Development, Accounting, Tax) during transactions.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel to efficiently meet business needs.
