Job summary

Welltower Inc. (NYSE: WELL) seeks a Counsel to provide legal support on U.S. Seniors Housing transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and development matters. You will work with Investment, Development, Accounting, and Tax teams to navigate complex deals.

The role requires a J.D., Bar admission (New York or Texas depending on location), and at least 3 years of related experience in a top law firm or in-house setting. Travel and NYC-based work may be expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years significant real estate and/or M&A experience, preferably representing REITs or public companies.
• Dynamic self-starter with ability to interact with all levels of the company.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Advise investment teams and development teams on U.S. seniors housing deals, acquisitions, dispositions, JVs, and operator transitions.
• Provide guidance on documentation and tax/accounting considerations in REIT transactions.
• Lead transactions in partnership with the Investment Team and liaise with internal departments.
