Job summary

Welltower is seeking a Counsel to provide legal support for U.S. Seniors Housing transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures. The role requires JD, Bar admission, and at least 3 years of real estate/M&A experience with top-tier firms or in-house teams.

The successful candidate will partner with Investment, Development, Tax, and Accounting teams, manage outside counsel, and help navigate post-closing asset management matters. Travel is possible as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with outstanding academic performance.
• Admission in good standing to the Bar, with ability to be admitted in New York or Texas (location dependent).
• Minimum of 3 years significant real estate and/or M&A experience, preferably representing REITs or public companies, at a top-tier law firm or in-house.

Responsibilities

• Advise investment and development teams on U.S. seniors housing deals, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and related documentation.
• Lead with a quarterback approach in transactions with the Investment Team.
• Interface with internal stakeholders across Tax, Accounting, and Development departments during transactions.
