Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to own lease accounting, prepaids, and non-construction fixed assets for the company and related entities. The role emphasizes ASC 842 reporting, monthly close, and collaboration with Finance, Legal, Risk, and Project Operations.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of relevant experience; a CPA is strongly preferred. Strong Excel/GL skills and experience with leasing software are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of public or industry accounting experience.
• Experience applying ASC 842 lease accounting including real estate leases.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Experience with GL and leasing software (Oracle Cloud/AMT Pro Lease Direct).
• Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Aufgaben

• Own the accounting and administration of the real estate lease portfolio, including monthly lease payments, CAM, and related journal entries.
• Administer lease accounting software: abstract leases, record activity, and process amendments/renewals.
• Reconcile lease balances to GL and ASC 842 reporting, including right-of-use assets and liabilities.
• Oversee prepaid assets and non-construction fixed assets accounting and reconciliations.
• Serve as primary contact for Lease Accounting inbox and cross-functional partners.
• Complete month-end and quarter-end close activities for Leases, Prepaids, and Fixed Assets.
• Maintain internal controls and drive process improvements; coordinate with external auditors.
