Job summary

TalentBridge is partnering with a large organization to hire a Senior Accountant for Lease Accounting in Charlotte, NC. The role will own key lease accounting activities, support close processes, reconciliations, controls, and system initiatives within the corporate accounting team.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and ASC 842 experience. Advanced Excel skills and CPA candidacy are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge with journal entries, reconciliations and close.
• Lease accounting/ASC 842 experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Public accounting or public company experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating and finance lease accounting under ASC 842.
• Prepare monthly lease-related journal entries and schedules.
• Review lease agreements to determine accounting treatment.
• Maintain lease-related balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support lease system data integrity, testing, reporting, and process improvements.
• Partner with Real Estate, Legal, Operations, FP&A, and Accounting.
• Support internal controls, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting for operating and finance leases, modifications, additions, terminations, and remeasurements under ASC 842.
• Prepare monthly lease-related journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Review lease agreements and amendments to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Maintain lease-related balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support lease system data integrity, testing, reporting, and process improvements.
• Partner with Real Estate, Legal, Operations, FP&A, and Accounting.
• Support internal controls, audit requests, and financial reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
