Job summary

HireLogic Search Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to own ASC 842 lease accounting within a multi-location distribution environment. You will manage classifications, measurements, disclosures, and system reconciliations for a large portfolio of leases.

You will also contribute to month-end close, fixed assets, and general ledger accuracy, partnering with operations, FP&A, and external auditors, with opportunities for growth as the company scales its accounting infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or pursuing preferred.
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience with ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments.
• Experience in distribution, logistics, or manufacturing a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with an ERP system.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deadlines and communicate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Own the ASC 842 lease accounting process end to end, including classification, measurement, modifications, renewals, and disclosure schedules for a large lease portfolio.
• Maintain and reconcile the lease accounting system or subledger, ensuring accurate right-of-use assets and lease liabilities.
• Support monthly and quarterly close with journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis across entities.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Support inventory-related accounting, including COGS and reconciliations.
• Assist with intercompany eliminations and consolidated reporting.
• Prepare schedules and reporting packages for lender/ownership reporting and covenant calculations.
• Assist with foreign currency exposure accounting.
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and external auditors during reviews and audits.
• Identify and help implement process improvements as the company scales its accounting infrastructure.
