Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC, based in Irvine, seeks a Senior Fund Accountant to manage fund accounting activities, bank and asset reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements and investor reports under the direction of the Fund Controller.

You will execute capital calls and distributions, perform waterfall calculations, monitor cash, support audits and tax preparation, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required.
• 2–5 years of financial analysis experience.
• Understanding of GAAP and tax accounting related to commercial real estate is preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Yardi or CoStar is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with senior executives, vendors, and investor contacts.

Responsibilities

• Fund Accounting & Reconciliations – perform bank, asset, and liability reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting – prepare and analyze quarterly and annual statements.
• Investor Reporting – generate analytics for investor reports.
• Capital Management – execute investor capital calls and distributions.
• Waterfall & Fee Calculations – run and validate waterfall calculations.
• Audit & Tax Support – assist with year-end audits and tax preparation.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Ad Hoc Support – liaise with internal/external parties to meet deadlines.
