Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, a residential real estate investment firm in Irvine, seeks a Senior Fund Accountant who will manage fund accounting activities, reconciliations, financial reporting, and investor communications. You will handle capital calls, distributions, waterfall calculations, and support audits and tax work with a detail‑oriented approach.

The role requires GAAP knowledge, 2–5 years of experience, and comfort interfacing with senior executives and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 2-5 years of financial analysis experience.
• Understanding of GAAP and tax accounting for commercial real estate (preferred).
• CPA certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of IRR, MOIC, and cash-on-cash yields.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Yardi or CoStar (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with senior executives and investors.

Responsibilities

• Fund accounting and reconciliations for bank and assets.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and schedules.
• Generate investor analytics and reporting.
• Execute capital calls and distributions.
• Monitor cash and assist audits and tax preparation.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines.
