Job summary

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) seeks an Associate Director of Real Estate Development in Seattle to manage all stages of affordable housing projects—from site assessment and feasibility to financing, construction and hand-off to property management. Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of direct affordable housing development experience, LIHTC knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Minimum five years of direct experience with affordable housing development.
  • Experience with affordable housing finance, including LIHTC.
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform detailed financial analyses of housing developments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of affordable housing development from site research to construction.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules from start to completion.
  • Secure funding across development phases (feasibility, pre-development, construction financing).
  • Supervise staff and develop project team members.
  • Represent LIHI before government agencies and funders to garner support.
