Job summary

Impact Development Group in Altoona, WI seeks a Senior Development Accountant to lead accounting for development projects from predevelopment through stabilization and closeout. You will maintain independent accounting controls and coordinate across finance, development, and property management teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, GAAP expertise, strong Excel, and experience with general-ledger, cost certifications, and Section 3 reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with GAAP knowledge.
Strong Excel skills and experience with general-ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Development or construction accounting experience is preferred; HUD/LIHTC familiarity valuable.

Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements, ledgers, and month-end close for development projects.
Manage project accounting from predevelopment through closeout.
Prepare draws, budgets vs. actuals, and certify costs.
Oversee contractor payables, change orders, and lien waivers.
Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
Coordinate entity administration and project transitions to property accounting.
