Job summary

Grayson Search Partners is partnering with a large real estate company in Houston to hire a Senior Development Accountant who will own the accounting for active development projects from close through financial reporting.

The role works closely with project, property, and accounting leadership, supporting GAAP research, audits, tax, and process improvements, while delivering budgets, forecasts, reconciliations, and financial analysis for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of real estate development accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting for active real estate development projects, from close through financial reporting.
• Handle capital calls, construction draws, lender funding, debt payments, and project cash activity.
• Partner with project/property teams on budgets, forecasts, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Support GAAP research, audits, tax, and process improvements while working closely with senior leadership.
