Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Irving, TX seeks a Real Estate Attorney to provide legal advisory and support across real estate operations, disputes, and transactional matters; act as strategic partner to business stakeholders.

You'll draft and negotiate real estate documents, oversee due diligence, manage title issues, advise on land use and permitting, supervise outside counsel, and help optimize the real property portfolio while ensuring compliance with laws.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and active bar in good standing.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, with real estate transactional focus.
• Ideal mix of law firm and in-house experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documents (leases, amendments, estoppels, purchase agreements, etc.).
• Provide counsel to Real Estate Department and field operations on real estate matters.
• Coordinate real estate due diligence for M&A with internal and external counsel.
