Job summary

Builders FirstSource, the nation's leading building materials distributor, seeks an attorney to provide real estate legal support. You will draft and negotiate leases, purchase agreements, and related documents, while advising the Real Estate and Legal Departments on complex transactions.

You will coordinate due diligence with M&A teams, manage title reviews, and address landlord-tenant issues, ensuring regulatory compliance and strategic risk mitigation across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and active state bar membership.
• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, real estate transactional focus required.
• Ideal candidates have both law firm and in-house experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documents including leases and sale agreements.
• Provide counsel to Real Estate Department and field operations on real estate matters.
• Coordinate due diligence for M&A transactions with internal and outside counsel.
• Oversee title and survey reviews and resolve title issues related to acquisitions and leases.
• Manage landlord-tenant disputes and coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
