Builders FirstSource, the nation’s leading building materials distributor, seeks a Real Estate Counsel to provide advisory support across real estate operations, disputes and transactional matters. You will partner with business stakeholders to navigate land use, zoning, permitting and entitlement issues while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

The role focuses on real estate transactions, leases, and portfolio risk mitigation with collaboration across internal and external counsel.

Qualificações

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one state.
• 3–5 years of relevant real estate transactional experience required.
• Ideal candidates may have law firm and in-house exposure.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documents including leases, amendments, estoppels, purchase agreements, easements, SNDAs, and related documents.
• Counsel the Real Estate Department and field operations on real estate matters.
• Coordinate real estate due diligence for M&A transactions with the M&A team and outside counsel.
• Oversee title and survey reviews and resolve title issues in acquisitions and leasing.
• Manage landlord-tenant disputes and coordinate with outside counsel.
