Job summary

Larson Maddox represents leading owners, operators, and developers of retail and mixed-use real estate. We are seeking a Senior Counsel to join our legal team as a key business partner to leasing, development, acquisitions, asset management, and operations, providing practical legal support across a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate assets.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
Approximately 5–10 years of commercial real estate experience.
Experience negotiating commercial leases and other real estate documents.
Background with a commercial real estate company, developer, REIT, owner/operator, national retailer, or leading law firm real estate practice preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business leaders.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate leases, amendments, easements, estoppels, SNDAs, and related documents.
Advise on acquisition, disposition, development, redevelopment, and financing matters.
Partner closely with internal business stakeholders to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
Manage legal risk across ongoing projects, leasing transactions, and portfolio operations.
Coordinate with and oversee outside counsel as needed.
