First Student, Inc. is seeking a Senior Real Estate Attorney to support a real estate portfolio of 750+ owned and leased properties across 42 U.S.

states and 8 Canadian provinces, and to advise on broader in-house matters including commercial contracting, governance, compliance, and litigation management. You will provide practical, business-minded legal counsel to protect the company’s interests, support strategic growth, and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Competenze

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• In-house or law firm experience in real estate.
• Active Ohio law license in good standing.
• 5+ years handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
• Experience managing outside counsel is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate agreements.
• Manage real estate transactions from due diligence to closing.
• Collaborate with leaders on acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic deals.
