Job summary

MDC Executive Search is seeking a Senior Acquisitions Manager for the Los Angeles area. You will own the deal pipeline end to end, from identifying opportunities through underwriting, negotiation, and closing, while collaborating with senior leadership.

You will lead a small team of analysts and associates, cultivating relationships with brokers, owners, lenders, and capital partners to drive investments and growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in real estate acquisitions, investments, or development.
• Sourcing and closing significant transactions.
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and diligence skills.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Experience leading people and collaborating across teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the acquisitions strategy and a consistent flow of qualified opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with brokers, property owners, lenders, and capital partners.
• Underwrite and negotiate land, portfolio, and larger-scale transactions.
• Structure partnerships and work closely with finance, development, and legal through closing.
• Prepare and present investment recommendations to executive leadership.
• Guide post-closing handoff and early-stage strategy for each asset.
• Manage and develop a small team of analysts and associates.
• Represent the company at industry events and in the investor and lending community.
