Micron Technology, Inc. in Manassas, VA is seeking an Sr. RDA Equipment Applications Engineer to own and optimize real-time defect analysis toolsets, including recipe development, stability monitoring, and advanced application support.

You will work with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure high-quality recipe execution and robust defect monitoring in the fab. The role emphasizes tool reliability, data-driven improvements, and hands-on leadership in process optimization, with growth

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in EE, Chemical Eng, Materials Science and Engineering or related field.
2+ years in semiconductor industry in defect analysis with inline defect analysis.
Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and SPC/data analysis.
Interest in developing Agentic AI workflows in current or future processes.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, validate, and maintain POR and engineering recipes for assigned RDA toolsets.
Monitor recipe requests, maintain documentation, and communicate updates.
Perform basic and advanced tool recoveries, lead software upgrades, and coordinate improvements with internal teams and vendors.
Establish and track SPC charts, analyze tool data, and drive corrective actions for performance improvements.
Create and update tool operating procedures and train engineers/technicians on protocols.
Participate in global tool-sharing forums and collaborate with vendors on issues and root-cause analysis.
