Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Sr. RDA Equipment Applications Engineer to own real-time defect analysis toolsets and optimize recipes for defect monitoring.

The role focuses on recipe development, tool reliability, and collaboration with equipment vendors to enhance long-term capability. The position requires a strong background in semiconductor defect analysis and the ability to drive data-driven improvements across fab operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of semiconductor defect analysis experience.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication process flows and SPC/data analysis.
• Experience or interest in Agentic AI workflows in processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, validate, and maintain POR and engineering recipes for RDA toolsets.
• Own tool theory, advanced recipe setup, and backup knowledge of secondary tools.
• Monitor recipe requests, document updates, and communicate changes.
• Perform tool recoveries, lead software upgrades, and coordinate with vendors.
• Establish and track SPC charts, analyze tool data, and drive corrective actions.
• Create procedures for tool operation and train engineers and technicians.
